So my friends and I came up with this random decision last night to have movie marathons every weekend, and every weekend, each of us picks our 2 favorite movies to show, and then we keep rotating. Today it’s Alex’s picks and were watching;

- The Butterfly Effect

- American Beauty

Both of these were good, but The Butterfly Effect was GREAT. Next weekend is possibly my weekend? I think I’ll pick;

is Annie Leibovitz. She is and amazing photographer, and an even more amazing woman. If you don’t know who she is, read about her, look at her works, they’re stunning.

I absolutely love movies. Especially ones that tell a story worth listening to. Here’s a few of my favs and ones I’ve seen recently that are noteable.

The Darjeeling Ltd.

This movie is my all time favorite. It’s a great story about a dysfunctional group of brothers who band together to find their ever-fleeting mother. Their journey takes them all through India, which provides them with endless adventures.

This movie is absolutely amazing. A perfect cast blended with a great plot and location made for such a great movie.

The Cake Eaters

This movies was pleasantly surprising. When I read the description on On Demand, I thought it sounded good, but not great. It started out slow, a story about a girl with a genetic muscular degenerative disease who sees no reason for pessimism. But as the movie went along, her independant streak gets stronger and she shows people she can live like a normal person.

The Fall

An interesting plot, absolutely stunning cinematography, and admireable characters make this movie what it is. Two patients in a hospital befriend each other, and start to believe their made up story is real.
